“Shenanigans” is the Capital District’s most traditional Gaelic (Irish and Scottish) cabaret-style instrumental/vocal quartet. Based in Schenectady County, New York, USA, our group will travel reasonable distances to perform at interesting venues. Our repertoire of nearly 60 songs and instrumental tunes is constantly growing. (A playlist can be sent to you.) We can also arrange for step dancers to perform with us. Our members are:

John F. McLaughlin, Scotia: Melodeon, Octave Mandolin, Six-String Banjo, Irish Tenor Banjo

Paul F. Busman, Clifton Park: Tin Whistles, Flute

Brad W. Peak, Colonie: Vocals, Guitar, Banjo

Michael J. Hickey, Clifton Park: Bodhrán, etc.

We have performed at a variety of venues: taverns, the Hibernians, Masonic halls, nursing homes -- even at Beardslee Castle! References are available upon request. We can tailor our program to your audience’s needs and preferences, and can do specialty programs, such as Carol Sings.
